Lori Sender

Clinical Director

Lori is an independently licensed social worker (LISW-S) and chemical dependency counselor (LICDC-CS) who holds a master’s degree in Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University.

For 35 years, Lori has been a tireless advocate for individuals challenged by substance use disorders. Lori specializes in concurrent treatment of mental health and substance use disorders, and holds certification as a practitioner of trauma-informed care. Her background as both a clinician and administrator in inpatient, as well as community settings, provides the perfect foundation for her role as Clinical Director of Silver Maple Recovery. Lori is dedicated to helping individuals establish meaningful and long-term recovery through high quality programming and ongoing engagement in the recovery community.

Nicole Martin

Director of External Relations

Nicole holds master’s degrees in Counseling and Human Services, and Nonprofit Administration from John Carroll University. With 21 years’ experience in behavioral health programming, Nicole is well versed in all aspects of addiction treatment. As an independently licensed counselor (LPCC-S), Nicole has practiced in residential and outpatient settings for mental health and chemical dependency treatment with children and adults. Nicole is passionate about outcome-driven and integrated care, and in executing community partnerships to create comprehensive systems of care for our clients.

Jason Coe

Director of Operations

Jason brings over 23 years of healthcare operations management experience to Silver Maple Recovery. With proven experience in leadership, team building, and ensuring high quality patient care and outcomes, Jason loves trying to help others to be their best. Jason has been with Sprenger Health Care Systems for over 7 years, working as an Administrator, Regional Director, and now Director of Operations for Silver Maple Recovery. Jason holds a degree in Business Administration and Gerontology from Miami University. Jason strives to ensure every client of Silver Maple Recovery receives the best possible treatment available to break the cycle of addiction.

Therese Ward

Clinical Supervisor

Therese holds a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with a focus on Community Systems. She is an LICDC-CS with supervision endorsement and an LPC. Therese brings over 30 years of addiction and mental health treatment experience in multiple settings including inpatient, outpatient, and the criminal justice system. Therese is passionate about helping chemically dependent individuals and those who are also challenged by mental health concerns. She is well versed in community resources, enabling her to link clients with ongoing recovery beyond inpatient treatment. At Silver Maple Recovery, Therese will apply evidence-based practices for her clients in treatment and recovery.


Kevin Blake

Director of Admissions

Kevin is an independently licensed counselor (LPCC) who has earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a master’s degree in Diversity Management in Psychology, both from Cleveland State University. With nearly ten years of experience working with clients with mental health, substance abuse, as well as dual diagnosis needs, he is passionate about working with various populations of clients in developing skills and meaning to maneuver through life. As Admissions Director, Kevin is a dedicated member of the Silver Maple team who brings great understanding of the importance of client engagement and barrier free systems. He is married and has three children who love music and soccer.


Mary Emrich

Program Manager

Mary is a Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) with over 20 years’ experience working with Mental Health and Addiction treatment. Her experience has included work in private settings, healthcare environments and community mental health, where she has worked as a Clinician and in Administration. Mary holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. She is passionate about addiction recovery and utilizes a person-centered approach that promotes dignity and respect for individual clients and families. With a focus on program development, she is a motivated to provide excellent client outcomes at Silver Maple Recovery.


Tanja Collier

Sub-Acute Detox Nurse Manager

Tanja is a Registered Nurse who has dedicated her entire 28-year nursing career to caring for clients with behavioral health and chemical dependency. She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those battling addiction and supporting their families. Tanja’s nursing experience includes providing addiction treatment for clients in multiple levels of care, including hospital based acute care, residential, and community settings.
