Dr. William Goldman

Medical Director

Dr. William Goldman. D.O is Certified in Addiction Medicine and is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and American Board of Preventive Health in Addiction Medicine. He received his bachelor degree in Nutrition Science at the University of Georgia, and then attended medical school at Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in General Pediatrics at Akron Children’s Hospital in 2005, and then fellowship trained in Addiction Medicine at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, Cleveland in 2018.

Melissa Castillo

Executive Director – Lorain Location

Melissa has over 18 years of experience in nursing with a broad background in everything from emergency medicine, pediatrics, psychiatric nursing, and health care management. Melissa started working at Silver Maple Recovery as the Detox Nurse Manager and was then promoted into the Executive Director position.

Bryce Loeffler

Executive Director – Massillon Location

As the Executive Director of Silver Maple Recovery in Massillon, Ohio, Bryce Loeffler brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a genuine dedication to helping individuals on their path to recovery.  Bryce’s journey in the field of social services has been marked by a steady ascent through the ranks, culminating in senior leadership and administrative rolls that have further solidified his reputation as a respected leader in the sector.  Bryce’s education background is equally impressive, with an MBA earned from Walsh University, a testament to his commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.  Complementing his advanced degree, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Akron, providing him with a strong foundation in the principles of social work that underpin his work at Silver Maple Recovery.  His leadership is poised to contribute significantly to the success and continued growth of this vital addiction treatment facility, offering hope and transformation to those seeking recovery in Massillon, Ohio, and beyond.

Kyle Higgins

Kyle Higgins

Clinical Director – Lorain location

Kyle holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from The Ohio State University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University. He holds a license as a Registered Pharmacist (RPH), a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC). He owned and operated Higgins Pharmacy–an independent retail pharmacy chain located in Lorain County—for more than 20 years prior to pursuing his present career. He has practiced as an addiction and mental health therapist for five years.

“I love outpatient treatment. It is my primary counseling focus. I find it so rewarding to see my clients succeed in transitioning from addiction to becoming responsible and productive members of society. I feel a strong attachment to Lorain County as I am a lifelong resident. My transition to Silver Maple Recovery seemed to be a natural progression in my professional career.”

John Miller

John Miller, LPCC-S

Clinical Director – Massillon Location

John is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Status since 2008. He has a Master of Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. He comes with a wide range of professional experience that come together in this position integrating addiction and mental health services. John has worked as a clinical director of a dual diagnosis psychiatric hospital, outpatient director launching PHP and IOP programs, intake director, director of intensive home-based family services, director of crisis services for Stark County including acting as a primary responder for mobile response, and providing direct counseling services for over 15 years. He has also served congregations as an ordained music minister for 30 years.

Rebecca Barlow

Outpatient Director – Lorain Location

Rebecca is a licensed social worker with more than 20 years of experience helping diverse populations of clients struggling with both mental health and substance use.  As a lifelong resident of Lorain County, Rebecca has dedicated her life to effectively supporting individuals in their journey towards holistic well-being and recovery.
